Sharon and Mike
1. How long have you been a client with SLHF?
Sharon - I have been a client with SLHF for just over 5 years
Mike - I have been going to SLHF for almost 5 years.
2. What do you look forward to the most when coming to class?
Sharon - I like how the coaches are constantly changing up with the workout to keep it interesting.
Mike - A great workout that focuses on core, but also has some cardio. I like going to SLHF because I know that if I put in time and effort, I will get results. I also like the people that are on staff and working out.
3. What has been the most rewarding part of your SLHF experience?
Sharon - The amazing people that I have met and have become good friends with.
Mike - The most rewarding part of my SLHF experience is that I can get a challenging workout with instructors who know how to design a well thought out workout with people who push me get better. I also that if I tweak something I can take to the Coach about what is bothering me and they will adjust the workout around it.
4. What keeps you going/motivated?
Sharon - The Coaches and SLHF clients are what really keep me motivated. Everyone is so helpful and considerate.
Mike - I compete in triathlons and want to get faster. To do so, I need to get stronger and SLHF helps me do so. I usually go to the 5:30am class and sometimes it is difficult to get out of bed, especially in the winter time. However, once the workout gets going, I am always glad I made the effort.
5. What has been the hardest part of this journey?
Sharon - The hardest part was when I first started at SLHF. I didn't know how to do all the exercises properly and was sore from the workouts. It took patience.
Mike - The hardest part of the journey is managing my time. It't not always possible to make it to class as I travel alot. With that said, if I miss a workout for a day or two, I can't wait to get back to it.
6. What has been your favorite exercise and why?
Sharon - I really like the core exercises. It really helps me do better in my overall workout.
Mike - My favorite exercise involves the TRX or the bike. On the TRX I like to doing the row, atomic push-ups and leg tucks. On the bike I like interval type exercises.
7. What advice can you offer others looking to start?
Sharon - I would say just because you never have workout out before hand or haven't workout in a while doesn't mean it's to late to start.
