In a medium sauce pan on medium-high heat, sauté onion in a small amount of butter for 3-5 minutes.
Add ground beef and cook until it is no longer pink.
Drain the fat.
Pour meat into a crock pot.
Open the can of pinto beans and with the juice add the beans to the meat.
Add the tomato sauce and water to the crock pot.
Add all the seasonings.
Give it a light stir.
Turn crock pot on to low. Keep warm until you are ready to eat.
